Alison is a native Mainer who focuses her practice primarily on family law cases. Alison graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maine School of Law in 2012 where she was a case note and comment editor on The Maine Law Review. After being sworn into the Maine Bar, Alison worked for almost ten years at a boutique law firm in Portland practicing family law and criminal defense before opening up the doors to her own firm in January 2023.

Alison’s undergraduate background in Family Studies, with a specialization in Child Development and Child Advocacy, allows Alison to strategize with her clients on how to best approach their own cases while considering how each decision may impact a child involved. Utilizing a compassionate, yet direct, approach, Alison aims to ensure that each of her clients feels heard, understood, and advocated for during one of the most challenging times of their lives.

Samantha is Thompson Law’s dedicated paralegal. Samantha has a degree in Paralegal/Prelaw Studies and previously worked in the York County Clerk's Office prior to her joining private practice. Samantha is dedicated to ensuring that each client receives individualized attention and has a wealth of knowledge of the Maine Court system and processes.

Samantha has been an integral part of Alison’s family law practice for nearly four years. She is an indispensable asset to Thompson Law and is a phenomenal resource for our clients.
